A Simple Wish

Mara Wilson

It is a sad and terrible thing when our favorite child stars grow up and decide to reject both drugs and stardom. One such tragedy occurred in 2000 when Mara Wilson turned 13 and stopped acting in movies.

Mara is responsible for the best films that made up my childhood. She was in Mrs. Doubtfire, Miracle on 34th Street, Balloon Farm, A Simple Wish and the impeccable Matilda. She was even in a few episodes of Melrose Place, proving my point that all things can somehow be traced back to Beverly Hills 90210.Mara’s career is not all lost though; currently, Wilson is rumored to be a drama major at NYU. This gives me hope, maybe we will see her in more films again soon.

Mara, I miss your adorable lisp, the perpetual ribbon in your hair and your missing teeth.

Mara Wilson, I miss your face- Shassie

Semi fun find-I can’t seem to find any recent pictures but this is rumored to be her face now.

I was just thinking about her today, but I don’t believe that picture .. I refuse to believe that Matilda would EVER spray tan!

Her current picture makes her look like the bastard love-child of Amanda Bynes and Tammy Faye Bakker.
